Mardi Gras @ Maury

We want to thank our beloved Auntie Oye' of Oyé Palaver Hut, Inc. for orchestrating today's Mardi Gras Parade for all Polite Piggy's classes from 4:00-5:30 pm on the playground. Kids enjoyed activities, masks, hats, and colorful beads, and waved white napkins as they watched the band perform. The Eastern High School Marching Band, the Warrior Drummers from Potomac Gardens, and Saxophonist, Herb Scott, led the momentous occasion accompanied by the Capitol Hill Jazz Foundation musicians. We can't say thanks enough that children who wanted to participate had the opportunity and could watch as older kiddos shined brightly as well.
